Honestly, we had felt something was going on when we visited the company a few weeks ago. The way we were led through the factory and especially how quickly they guided us through certain areas was a bit suspicious…
Obviously, the good news is that Campy’s new high-end groupset now has an extra cog.
We don´t have many details at the moment, since we weren´t at the media camp in Gran Canaria where Campagnolo presented the new groupset, but we have some information and pictures already. Obviously, the good news is that Campy’s new high-end groupset now has an extra cog. This is more than Shimano and SRAM have even done for Road. Although, in May, only mechanical rim brake versions will be available, mechanical Record and hydraulic disc brake options will be ready to hit the shops later this year.

One of the biggest surprises, is that Campagnolo has managed to integrate the twelfth sprocket without having to change their signature freehub body. So you don´t necessarily have to buy a new set of Campy wheels in order to be able to ride the new groupset. The cassettes are available in an 11-29 and 11-23 gradation while the cranks come in the standard 53/39, semi-compact 52/36 and compact 50/34 versions.

Unfortunately, we can´t tell you when the new 12-speed groupset will be available, but we are doing our best to get it in our shop as fast as we can.
