The Top Cap by 3min19sec - Simple and flat

The top cap by 3min19sec you give your headset a simple and functional finish. It is compatible with 1 1/8" top headset cups and comes with a bolt. The cap is made of aluminium and was deliberately designed to be flat, which also explains its low weight of only 6 grams. So that it visually matches any bike, it comes in neutral black. If you have lost your original top cap, here is an inexpensive replacement.

Top cap diameter is a little bit small, and a gap between stem and cap looks slatternly.

It has a nice minimalist design, which is why I bought it. The bolt head is made out of soft material, the hex socket seems to wear fairly quickly every time I need to loosen/tighten the headset for regular maintenance. I found the cap diameter to be too small to fully cover my headset spacers, which leaves a sharp edge on the spacer exposed, but that's understandable as there is no standard on how big the outer diameter of the spacers should be.

Overall, I would recommend this product if you are looking for a minimalist cap and you won't be tightening it too often.
