Avid BB5 Road Disc Brake with Brake Rotor

For lovers of the mechanical disc brake: the BB5 Road by Avid

The BB5 Road is a no-compromise disc brake for riders looking for a system without hydraulics on their road racer. The mechanical system allows for simple adjustment and is much easier to maintain than a hydraulic disc brake. The Avid Ball Bearing 5 Road combines the advantages of a mechanical brake with the braking performance of a disc - especially in wet conditions. The set comes without brake levers and cables. These would have to be ordered separately if required.
The brake can be used as a front or rear brake and can be operated with all SRAM Double Tap shift/brake handles (Red, Force, Rival, Apex).

Simply loosen the CPS™ bolts a little, press the brake lever and tighten the bolts again. Perfect alignment of the brake caliper in no time at all.
