Manufacturer's Warning:

The use of the red brake pads (for carbon wheels) on rims with P.E.O. coating is strongly discouraged, as the braking power on " dry" surfaces differs greatly from that on " wet" surfaces. In particular, dangerous situations could occur due to the fact that the cyclist applies the brake levers more strongly on " wet" surfaces, but with instantaneous drying of the rim and thus considerable variation in the braking effect of the red brake pads, this application could lead to an immediate locking of the wheels. For this reason, the only brake pads that may be used with the Campagnolo Shamal Mille and the Fulcrum Racing Zero Nite are specific blue brake pads, where the level of braking efficiency does not vary excessively in " dry" and " wet" conditions.
