CeramicSpeed T47a Campagnolo UT Coated bottom bracket with smooth-running and particularly durable ceramic bearings

The asymmetrically-designed CeramicSpeed T47a Campagnolo Coated bottom bracket is used to install an Ultra Torque crank in a T47a frame with 77 mm bottom bracket width. It features ceramic bearings that are harder than average, supple and resilient, with metal-coated races for added durability. In the T47a standard, which is used by Factor and other manufacturers, the left bearing cup is inside the shell, while the right bearing cup is mounted outside.

This is due to a unique coating that increases the hardness of the races so that, in combination with the smoothness of CeramicSpeed ball bearings, virtually no wear on the bearings can be detected. The coating is a metal layer that is 75% harder than hardened steel. It is applied very thinly (0.003 mm) and evenly over the entire surface of the race and is used both internally and externally for optimum results.
