Tut, was es soll. Eine relativ gute Fixierung wird erreicht, wenn die Schraube sehr gut angezogen wird. Konstruktionsbedingt kann das Schutzblech nach einiger Zeit (oder bei sehr groben Schlägen) evt. noch verrutschen.
