DT Swiss ARC 1400 DICUT 50 Carbon Center Lock Disc 27.5" Wheelset
DT Swiss ARC 1400 DICUT 50 Carbon Disc Centre Lock 27.5" wheelset - aerodynamic wheels for small frames
With the ARC 1400 DICUT wheelset in 27.5" from DT Swiss, you can also make small racing, aero or time trial bikes even more aerodynamic. The smaller wheel diameter prevents, among other things, " toe-overlapping" , i.e. contact between the front foot and the wheel when the handlebars are turned into tight corners. The redesign of the 50 mm deep DICUT carbon rim also allows the use of wider and more comfortable 25 to 28 mm tyres on the road bike, because the rim width has been increased. The rolling resistance remains as low as usual. The new 240 hub is more streamlined. The newly developed Aero Comp II straight pull spokes have a T-shaped spoke head which ensures a particularly secure connection. This contributes to the stability of the entire system. The frontal drag of the wheels is low and in crosswind conditions you even benefit from a light sailing effect. Due to the advanced Ratchet EXP freehub, unwanted idling when at the start is reduced. Your leg power is converted into propulsion through a direct transmission.

Ratchet EXP
A ratchet and a threaded ring are integrated into the hub. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less wear and tear and a lower weight. In addition, the heavy-duty and reliable ratchet system can be easily and quickly maintained. The no-tool concept plays a decisive role, as it allows the freehub to be replaced without any tools. The freehub has two ratchets which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which relieves the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely.
Pro Lock
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
