DT Swiss EXC 1501 SPLINE 30 Carbon Boost 6-Bolt Disc 27.5" Wheelset
DT Swiss EXC 1501 30 Carbon Boost 6-bolt disc 27.5" wheelset - carbon wheels for rough terrain
With the EXC 1501 SPLINE wheelset from DT Swiss on your 27.5" MTB you will cut a fine figure in Enduro races. The carbon rims form the foundation for a light but durable wheelset. The hookless rims which are reinforced on the sidewalls are connected to the 240 hub by straight pull spokes. A 30 mm inner rim width and Boost standard leave plenty of room for wide tyres and give the opportunity to ride with low tyre pressure. The rear wheel has the most modern freehub technology that the Swiss have to offer. The Ratchet EXP freehub has 36 teeth and transmits your pedalling power without any loss. Unpleasant idling is avoided, so that you can transform your energy immediately into propulsion. With 6-bolt brake rotors you retain control over your bike even during intense phases of the race.

Technology:
Intended use - Category 4:Suitable for use in very rough terrain with jumps of up to approx. 120 cm in height and speeds of up to 40 km/h. Very good riding technique is required. The components must be checked for damage after each ride.
SPLINE:
Straight pull hubs, straight spokes and strong rims result in a durable wheel. It can therefore be reliably used in training and competition.
Ratchet EXP:
A ratchet and a threaded ring are integrated into the hub. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less wear and tear and a lower weight. In addition, the heavy-duty and reliable ratchet system can be easily and quickly maintained. The no-tool concept plays a decisive role, as it allows the freehub to be replaced without any tools. The freehub has two ratchets which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which relieves the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely.
Pro Lock:
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
