DT Swiss GR 1600 SPLINE DB 25 - gravel wheelset in 27.5" for more efficiency and manoeuvrability

The GR 1600 SPLINE DB 25 from DT Swiss is an agile 27.5" wheelset for bikepacking and sporty tours off the beaten tracks. It has 25 mm high and 24 mm wide aluminium rims that can be combined with tyres up to 53 mm wide. Compared to the previous model, the rear wheel has been equipped with a faster meshing 36-tooth freewheel. You will be more efficient and confident on technical terrain. You can of course also ride the wheels without a tube, thanks to the tubeless compatibility of the rims. These have been assembled using a particularly precise, elaborate welding process and fitted with a hook on the rim flange, which stabilises the tyre bead. The 350 SPLINE hubs are designed for center-lock brake rotors and straightpull spokes. They were spoked with two sets of 24 DT Aero Comp Wide spokes and self-locking aluminium Pro-Lock Squorx nipples. With their cold-forged centre section and blade-like profile, the spokes contribute to both the aerodynamics and the strength of the GR 1600 SPLINE wheelset.

Ratchet System
The robust and reliable star ratchets freehub system can be maintained easily and quickly. The no-tool concept contributes to this, because it allows disassembly without any tools. The freehub has two ratchets which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which relieves the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely. The ratchet system has 36-tooth discs as standard, but can also be fitted with more or fewer teeth. If it also bears the designation " SL" (" Superlight" ), this means that the toothed discs are specially machined to save weight.

SPLINE
Straight pull hubs, straight spokes and strong rims result in a durable wheel. It can therefore be reliably used in training and competition.

Pro Lock
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
