RWS:
The Ratchet Wheelmounting System is a system for tool-free wheel mounting for all disciplines of cycling. In the style of quick-release levers, wheels with RWS axles can be quickly attached. However, they can withstand stronger forces caused by higher speeds and increased track requirements. The axles are as stable as thru axles, And thanks to the lever, the axle can be released or clamped as easily as a quick-release axle. The lever is lifted for this reason, and is operated by turning it.

RWS Plug-In:
The RWS Plug-In System combines the advantages of tool-free wheel attachment in the RWS system with the advantages of a thru axle. The quick-release lever can be connected to the axle via a hexagon socket, which is then released or tightened by turning. Afterwards the lever is removed again, so it does not disturb riding and the bike maintains the look of a classic thru axle.
