Extremely light and yet fully loadable: the Super Comp® by DT Swiss

The Super Comp® is the ideal spoke for special applications where both light weight and reliability are equally important. The cold-forging process is used to butt the thread and the middle part of the spoke, making them smaller in diameter. The diameter of the heavily-stressed spoke head remains 2 mm, which increases its load capacity.

Triple-butted:
These spokes have three different diameters. The thread and the middle part of the spoke are butted in a cold-forging process, which makes the thread diameter slightly smaller than the diameter at the head, with the middle part of the spoke having the smallest diameter. The 3D spokes are adapted to handle oncoming forces at different points of the spoke, thus reducing weight while maintaining stability.
