Enduro Bearings Angular Contact Ball Bearing 7901 12 mm x 24 mm x 6 mm
Maximum number of balls in the angular contact ball bearing: the 7901 MAX from Enduro Bearings
MAX bearings are characterised by a 35 to 40 % higher load capacity than standard radial bearings. For 20 years Enduro Bearings has been manufacturing them specifically for use on mountain bike shocks. As its name indicates, MAX bearings are fitted with the maximum possible number of balls.
In standard radial bearings, only 3 or 4 balls make contact during the load at any given time. Inside of Enduro Bearings' Angular Contact (A/C) bearings, ALL balls are engaged so that they can distribute force over a larger surface area. This reduces friction and minimizes wear.
