The Speed 25 DB 28" wheelset from Fulcrum is made of carbon and is ideal for high-performance road bikes. The 26 mm rim depth is not susceptible to wind and shines with its low but effective use of materials. Since the wheels for Center Lock Disc brakes weigh a mere 1285 grams, you will benefit from this lightweight set particularly in mountainous terrain or on extremely long distances. Durable, smooth-running USB ceramic bearings are icing on the cake. In terms of aerodynamics, an attempt was made to achieve the optimum with the low weight. Therefore, the rim profile of the front wheel is symmetrical, while the rear wheel impresses with an asymmetrical rim profile. Aero spokes are used at both the front and rear. The necessary stiffness of the wheels is achieved through the continuous rim bed, which allows you to take advantage of particularly high spoke tension. In addition, you no longer need to use rim tape, regardless of whether you prefer to ride with an inner tube or prefer to go tubeless. The trend towards wider tyres on road bikes has been taken into account with an inner rim width of 21 mm. This allows you to fit tyres over 28 mm without encountering any issues.

Technology:

MoMag™
MoMag stands for Mounting Magnet and refers to a type of fastening for spokes in the rim bed. The spoke nipples are placed in the rim via the valve opening and brought to their destination by means of a magnet. The spokes are screwed into the nipples as standard. This also makes it possible to maintain and replace spokes with little effort.

Undrilled Rim Bed
The rim bed is continuous and has no holes for nipples. The nipples are inserted over the valve opening and guided with a magnet to the connection point of the rim. This eliminates the need for rim tape, increases the durability of the rim and allows the spokes to be tensioned more, resulting in greater stiffness.

USB™
USB stands for Ultra Smooth Bearings. These are ceramic bearings for hubs that enormously increase the smoothness of the wheels, minimise weight and keep maintenance manageable. USB bearings are about 50% smoother than standard bearings. This means that more power is converted into direct propulsion and is no longer lost through friction.
