The Speed 40T carbon wheelset from Fulcrum is suitable for ambitious road cyclists who prefer to use tubular tyres in competition. The lightweight 40 mm deep rims are aerodynamic, but add little weight, which affords you more speed on the mountain. The enormously stable two-to-one lacing pattern is stabilised by the extra large hub flange. The smooth-running CULT ceramic ball bearings are very precise and durable. Thanks to the Center Lock disc brakes, you have the wheels under control in every situation.

Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology for ball bearings is characterised by particularly hard, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, whose top layer is extremely resistant. The abrasion remains very low, and only a thin layer of oil is required for lubrication, so a lot of grease can be left off. This allows the ceramic balls to follow their path very precisely.

Undrilled Rim Bed
The rim bed is continuous and has no holes for nipples. The nipples are inserted over the valve opening and guided with a magnet to the connection point of the rim. This eliminates the need for rim tape, increases the durability of the rim and allows the spokes to be tensioned more, resulting in greater stiffness.

Two-to-One Spoke Ratio
In order to avoid energy loss, two-to-one wheels are equipped with double the number of spokes in critical areas. In the case of rear wheels, this takes into account the increased forces on the drive side. Front wheels have twice as many spokes on the side of the brake rotor.
