CoolMax® is a brand name for a range of moisture-wicking technical fabrics. This fibre was developed in 1986 by DuPont Textiles & Interiors (now Invista). The fabrics are made of specially developed polyester fibres with an emphasis on breathability. This results in an improvement compared to natural fibres such as cotton. CoolMax® is one of the fabrics developed to draw moisture away from the skin by capillary action and produce increased evaporation over a larger surface area.
