The Tech 4 V4 hydraulic disc brake with steel braided hose by Hope offers maximum braking power for downhill mountain bikes. The Tech 4 brake lever creates a balanced relationship between mechanical leverage and hydraulic pressure for a natural and effective braking feel. It has significantly more braking power than its predecessor, the Tech 3, while offering better ergonomics and more adjustment options. In the V4 brake caliper, 4 hybrid pistons ensure permanently strong braking power even on steep off-road descents.

The Hope disc brake does not include a brake rotor or a disc brake adapter. These must be ordered separately.

Note from the manufacturer:

Due to its design, the V4 brake caliper is not compatible with forks with PM 7/direct mount 180 mm brake mount. In this case, it is recommended to use the V4 brake caliper with a corresponding disc brake adapter and 200 mm brake rotors.
Also, the V4 caliper is not compatible with the 2021 Commencal Supreme DH frame with Direct Mount 200 mm brake mount.
