As dusk sets in, the SL automatically switches from " daytime running light" to low beam and guides you safely through traffic. Its design is modelled after car headlights, and is absolutely glare-free for oncoming road users. Outside of urban environments, the press of a button on the Bluetooth remote control unleashes a high beam loaded with a full 1300 lumens. The high beam of the SL AF is not just a stronger dipped beam: at the touch of a button, the entire lighting pattern changes and illuminates an additional area, far above the glare-free light-dark limit: perfect for fast rides and demanding trails. The SL AF is the world's brightest StVZO-approved bicycle lamp with its own battery. In contrast to other StVZO-approved bicycle lights, the light pattern of the SL AF is not limited to a small strip but emits a wide, uniform blanket of light directly in front of your front wheel.
The heart of the front light is formed by 18 Osram Compact CL Automotive LEDs, along with the world's first dual aspheric lens system for bicycle lamps. The material used for the lenses is extremely weather-resistant and is also used in aviation and medical technology. The extremely robust and high-quality aluminium body reliably protects the SL AF from shocks, dust and water.
