SUPREME Platform Pedals by MKS - the Keirin pedals

The NJS-approved SUPREME pedals from MKS have been specially developed and optimised for Keirin riders, but are also ideal for classic road cycling races. Due to the double-bearing axle, they run exceptionally smoothly. The mirror-polished pedals, which can be retrofitted with toe clips also look great, especially on slim steel-frame bikes.

NJS approval is one of the strictest standards in track cycling, introduced by the JKA Foundation (Japan Keirin Foundation), the official organiser of Keirin events in Japan. " Keirin" is the Japanese word for " cycling race" and a cycling sprint discipline originating from the same place, which is also referred to as " fighting sprint" , since significantly more physical effort is permitted than in UCI track races.
