Mavic Allroad SL Center Lock Disc Wheelset - 2024 Model
Mavic Allroad SL wheelset - light and powerful for gravel use
The Mavic Allroad SL is a super light, agile 28" wheelset for use on gravel, dirt roads and cobblestones. It has hookless aluminium rims with a generous jaw width of 25 mm, allowing tyres up to 64 mm wide. You can also run it tubeless, which has advantages such as lower tyre pressure, less weight and more puncture protection. Not even rim tape is required, because the Fore technology keeps the rim completely airtight. Thanks to the ISM-4D milling process, more than 130 grams of weight have been saved compared to the Allroad S model. The rims also impress with their Black Shield finish, which makes them particularly resistant to stone impacts and scratches.
At the centre of the Allroad SL wheels, there are Center Lock Disc hubs with Infinity technology for optimised spoke reception. The QRM auto bearing with automatic preload saves you cumbersome adjustment. At the rear, the Instant Drive 360 freehub ensures fast engagement. Although the wheelset is designed for thru-axles, it can also be converted to quick releases. It was laced with 24 double-butted steel spokes at the front and rear, which are extremely aerodynamic due to their elliptical shape.

Technology:
MaxtalMade exclusively for Mavic, this lightweight and strong aluminium alloy offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio than standard 6106 aluminium. Maxtal rims are 30% stiffer and weigh less than other aluminium rims.
Black Shield Treatment
This innovative surface treatment, first introduced for MTB rims, makes rims twice as resistant to stone impacts and scratches.
SUP
SUP means Soudé Usiné Process and creates a much more stable and smoother rim joint. The rim joint is welded and then milled over to achieve an even braking surface. SUP prevents any brake judder and facilitates spoking and centring of the wheel.
ISM 4D
The ISM 4D (Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions) milling process noticeably reduces weight and inertia without sacrificing durability. Mavic's exclusive patent also provides better aerodynamics with its new rim profile. ISM 4D rims are up to 50 g lighter and therefore offer more climbing performance. Their minimal inertia leads to maximum acceleration. Their extra aerodynamic rim profile results in significantly lower air resistance.
Infinity Hub Design
Infinity hubs from Mavic allow contactless lacing, which prevents noise development under load. At the same time, this design is lighter, stiffer and easier to maintain. Often you only need one spoke length per wheel set, so that an optimal spare parts supply is given.
QRM Auto
QRM Auto stands for Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto, and is the latest bearing innovation from Mavic. These cartridge bearings with C3 internal clearance are double sealed. Their bearing clearance is automatically adjusted to guarantee smooth running without any play at all times.
Instant Drive 360
The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super light and ensures a fast power connection with an engagement angle of only 9° (road) or 15° (MTB). A large, non-contact rubber seal reduces friction.
Fore Tapeless Tubeless
Instead of drilling a conventional rim hole, the inner rim base is pressed inwards in one operation and provided with a thread into which the nipples are screwed directly. The outer rim base remains intact. This results in a stiffer and stronger wheel that means rim tape can be omitted, which also translates to weight savings.
