The introduction to MTB performance by Mavic - for rim brakes: the Crossride UB wheel

You just don't want to send your rim brake bike into retirement? No problem, because Mavic has reintroduced the Crossride UB to its model range.
Its tried-and-tested construction with FTS-X freewheel, 20 aero spokes at the front and the rear and an optimized lacing system makes the Crossride UB as stiff as it is light. Its rim, specially designed for rim brakes, has rim holes with H2 reinforcement for maximum strength and durability. And at 1700 grams, there is no performance restriction - but instead a lightweight rim that delivers fast acceleration and high braking efficiency.
The Crossride UB is only suitable for rim brakes, and for frames and forks with quick release dropouts.
