Maxxis Minion DHF 3C MaxxTerra / DHR II 3C MaxxGrip 29" Folding Tyre Set
Proven, successful and popular: the Minion DHF and the Minion DHR II folding tyre duo set from Maxxis
Proven elements such as bevelled lugs for low rolling resistance and smooth running were combined with longitudinally slotted lugs for better grip on the edges. This gives it excellent directional stability and precise cornering behaviour. Additionally, the new puncture protection makes the tyre even more durable.
The Minion DHR II's side studs are taken from the popular Minion front and provide excellent cornering grip. The shovel-like centre lugs provide maximum traction and braking control.
Note from the manufacturer:
Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.

Technology:
3C MaxxTerraAt Maxxis, the 3C tread is moulded from 3 different rubber compounds in one piece and is not subsequently assembled from two strips. Therefore, the treads can be shaped exactly according to the requirements of the respective tyre model, thus optimising the riding characteristics.
The Freeride version of Maxxis 3C compounds. More grip and traction than the 3C MaxxSpeed compound, with less rolling resistance and longer durability than 3C MaxxGrip. The ideal Enduro and Freeride mixture, because it combines good rolling resistance uphill with great grip on the descent.
Double Down
Double Down tyres are constructed just like the downhill tyres from Maxxis. However, the two carcass layers, which are reinforced with a butyl inlay, each have 120 (instead of 60) tpi. Combined with the aramid bead, this makes the tyres considerably lighter.
Wide Trail (WT)
This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner width of 30 - 40 mm.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other " Tubeless Ready" tyres, because the bead of Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.
