More braking power, more traction and better cornering: the Minion DHR II Dual Tubeless Ready folding tyre by Maxxis

With an all-new tread pattern, the Minion DHR II is an ideal gravity tyre. With the side studs of the legendary DHF, which have been widened slightly, it has extreme cornering grip. The centre lugs have bevelled cleats for better acceleration. Notches on the studs improve transition when turning in curves. Some of the centre lugs have a paddle shape, which makes them dig into the ground during hard braking and help to keep the bike under control.

Note from the manufacturer:
Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.

For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other " tubeless ready" tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.

Wide Trail Casing (WT):
This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 - 40 mm. Concerns tyres with a width of 2.4" and above.
