Working as a " 4th hand" , the cable stretcher facilitates adjustment work on the rim brakes. With one hand you can adjust the tension with the help of the BT-2's thumb lock, with the other hand you can adjust the bolts and nuts to secure the brakes in the desired position. Made of heat-treated tool steel, chrome-plated and with padded handles, the BT-2 is a tool worth having for any mechanic.

Der Kaufpreis hatte mich für ein Teil, das man doch nicht so häufig benötigt, lange zögern lassen. Letztlich bereue ich keinen Cent davon - ärgere mich nur darüber, dass ich das BT-2 nicht schon viel früher gekauft habe:

Das Tool ist wirklich eine enorme Hilfe beim Einstellen von Felgenbremsen, mechanischen (Seilzug) Scheibenbremsen sowie Schaltungen - ich habe das an zwei Rädern gerade mit viel Spaß dabei durchexerziert. .
Die Anwendung ist wirklich einfach und sicher - das geklemmte Seil rutscht tatsächlich kein bisschen, es sind im Bedarfsfall sogar enorme Kräfte bei der Vorspannung des Bodenzugs mit dieser Zange möglich. Dank einer Sperrklinke kann man das Tool bei Bedarf nach der Klemmung sogar ganz aus der Hand geben und hat damit kurzfristig sogar beide Hände frei!
Meine Erwartungen wurden im positiven Sinne übertroffen.
