The adapter itself is sturdy, and strong. If you need a Pletscher Quick-Rack adapter, this one made of metal works well.
The safety pins are a bit hard to remove by hand, not impossible, but my wife doesn't manage to remove it, I have to do it all the time.
The main issue is with the Quick-Rack system from Pletscher.
1. The metal adapter is difficult to remove on a daily basis. Not impossible, but needs a bit of fiddling.
2. Both the plastic and metal holders are rattling on the rack. There is always a little play, the basket or box is tilting left-to-right all the time, especially on bumps.
I liked the Pletscher Athlete System racks, as they are very configurable, very strong, and the spring is very strong too, and the Andersen Shopper mount can be added to it.
However, I changed for the Racktime Tour-it rack, which is very strong, the Snap-it 1.0 adapter is stable and easy to use. With some sawing-and-cutting I managed to add the Andersen Shopper adapter to it, too.
