The RockShox SID SL suspension fork in the Ultimate version with lightweight Race Day 2 damping, Boost dimensions and 32 mm stanchion tubes for 29-inch XC bikes is equipped with DebonAir air suspension. The centrepiece is the wireless, fully electronic Flight Attendant system, which raises comfort and efficiency to a new level when mountain biking. Combined with a Flight Attendant suspension fork and a suitable sensor in the crank, the algorithm of the control module calculates the optimum position for suspension and damping in fractions of a second and implements it without any action on your part. In addition to the tried and tested " Open" position for high-speed descents and " Lock" for sprints, where you need an efficient power transmission, the fork offers you a third " Pedal" position, the sweet spot in between for technical climbs where you need propulsion but also comfort. Thanks to Adaptive Ride Dynamics, Flight Attendant learns from your skills and riding style and improves with every ride. If you want to take control yourself, the suspension fork can be controlled manually on the control module or with an optionally available controller, or you can switch to the override mode you preconfigured yourself. The settings for this and other functions such as controller assignment, personalisation of Adaptive Ride Dynamics, battery status and firmware updates can be found in the SRAM AXS app.
Note:
To be able to use Flight Attendant technology, you need a Flight Attendant suspension fork as well as a rear shock with Flight Attendant and a compatible pedal sensor or a compatible power meter crankset.
