Rohloff was founded in 1986 by Barbara and Bernhard Rohloff in Kassel, Germany. Their first product was a bicycle chain and from 1989-1993 all Campagnolo drivetrains came equipped with a Rohloff chain. Then, in 1996, the fist Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 was introduced to the market.
