For internal gear mech with brake bosses: the Rohloff 13° Cable Guide

With the internal gear mech, the shift cables run from the shift lever to the cable guide. This can be mounted on the brake bosses or, if there are no brake bosses, on the frame by means of a clamp or threaded eyelet. With the external gear mech, the shift cables run continuously from the shifter to the cable box. Therefore, no separate cable guide is needed.

The 13° (diagonal) cable guide must be mounted on the left brake boss at a distance of at least 240 mm from the rear axle. A combination with a disc brake on the rear wheel is not possible, as the shift cables come into contact with the brake rotor. The internal gear mech is the lighter variant.
On the versions with internal gear mech, the cable adjusters are located on the cable guides.
