Rohloff Straight Cable Guide w/ Clamp
For internal shift control without brake bosses: the Rohloff 0° Cable Guide
With the internal gear mech, the shift cables run from the shift lever to the cable guide. This can be mounted on the brake bosses by means of 13° cable guides or, if there is no brake boss, on the frame by means of a clamp or threaded eyelet. With the external gear mech, the shift cables run continuously from the shifter to the cable box. Therefore, no separate cable guide is needed.
When routing via chainstay, the 0° (straight) cable guide must be attached to the chainstay at a minimum distance of 240 mm from the hub axle. The fastening has to be done in such a way that the shift cables run as straight as possible out of the cable pull of the hub.
A combination with a disc brake on the rear wheel is not possible, as the shift cables come into contact with the brake rotor. The internal gear mech is the lighter variant.
On the versions with internal gear mech, the cable adjusters are located on the cable guides.
