Start with one - the beginning is what counts. Whether you're taking on a mountain for the first time or if you're just an enthusiastic mountain biker looking for a stress-free 1x drivetrain without all the bells and whistles, the SRAM NX is ready and waiting for all outrageous adventures. NX offers a wide range of gears for greater simplicity and durability, so you can concentrate on what's important: the ride ahead. The NX features German engineering and bears the seal of approval of SRAM 1x. Simply put, it's ready to show the world what a real riding experience feels like. Start new, start right, start with SRAM NX.
The SRAM NX X-Horizon™rear derailleur provides the same smooth, reliable shifting as the XX1 - from the larger offset of the upper shifting roller to the X-Sync™chain idler with 12 teeth. Because unwanted chain movement is a thing of the past, the X-Horizon™ enables faster shifting, eliminates " ghost shifting" and reduces shifting force and chain slap. Thanks to Cage-Lock™technology, removing and installing the rear wheel is easier than ever.

Technology:

X-Actuation™
Developed specifically for SRAM 1X, X-Actuation™ technology ensures precise and constant shifting along the entire 10-42 tooth cassette.

Roller Bearing Clutch™
In new X0 and X9 series rear derailleurs, Roller Bearing Clutch™ Technology ensures that the cage can build tension. A needle bearing prevents any light forward movements, the chain remains under tension and does not hit the strut. This prevents the chain from jumping off even without a chain guide on the crankset.

Cage Lock™
Due to the Cage Lock™ Technology in the rear derailleur, removing and fitting the rear wheel and chain is quicker and easier than ever before. Simply push the cage forward (to release the chain tension) and lock it.

X-Horizon™
The parallelogram design of the X-Horizon™ rear derailleur limits movement along the horizontal axis, eliminating ghost shifting and reducing the force required for shifting. The large offset of the upper shifting roller ensures a constant chain distance in every gear for faster and more precise shifting.

X-Sync™
X-Sync™ 1X chainrings from SRAM provide the highest performance and durability. Long SRAM X-Sync™ tooth edges grip the chain earlier than standard triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile and the rounded bevelled edges support the chain guide. To guarantee the best possible performance for muddy terrain, X-Sync™ chainrings have recesses for the inner chain links and rollers to remove dirt and mud. German-made X-Sync™ chainrings are an important part of SRAM 1x drivetrains.

Considering the budget range from SRAM, this NX series read derailleur surprised me with its smooth performance and shifting. I expected to have some issues with shifting initially but everything was OK right from the start using the 1x11 group.

I am using it with NX GripShift 11-speed, NX PG-1130 Kassette + PC 1110 chain.

Also the chain does not fall considering the fact that I use 26 teeth ring in front which is NOT narrow wide, it is a 5 Euro simple Deore ring, mounted in the inner most (64BCD) place of simple Deore cranks. No chain guide also :)
