With the Red XPLR E1 AXS rear derailleur, SRAM delivers an electronic 13-speed rear derailleur specifically for the unique demands of gravel riding. The Full-Mount direct attachment is the most noticeable feature: the derailleur is directly mounted on the rear axle instead of the UDH universal derailleur hanger. This ensures it remains precisely aligned without any tolerance, even when used on challenging terrain. Adjustment and limit screws are not needed. A frame with a UDH universal derailleur hanger is required. The lower derailleur pulley is a Magic Wheel, ensuring that the chain continues to run smoothly without jumping off, despite sticks or stones. Thanks to AXS connectivity, you can easily connect and personalize your drivetrain via smartphone app.

AXS
AXS is SRAM's electronic integration platform that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows you to see the battery status, change component behavior, adjust controls, receive maintenance reminders, and update firmware.

eTap
SRAM's eTap is a simple, unambiguous, and intuitive shifting logic. With the shift lever on the left-hand side, you move the rear derailleur inwards to a larger sprocket, with the shift lever on the right-hand side, you move the derailleur outwards to a smaller sprocket. With the shift lever pressed down, you can directly shift several gears. Pressing both shift levers at the same time causes a front derailleur movement in 2x shifting systems.

X-Sync
The X-Sync tooth design is characterized by long, rounded, and slanted tooth edges with a narrow profile. Derailleur pulleys with X-Sync technology support the chain guide and remain unaffected by dust and mud.

Magic Wheel
The Magic Wheel is a cleverly designed derailleur pulley. If a branch or similar gets wedged in and blocks it, the teeth continue to turn and the chain continues its run unhindered.
