The SRAM Red eTap AXS™ rear derailleur was developed for both 1x and 2x systems. Due to AXS, it can easily be adapted to the rider's requirements and preferences. Its advanced Orbit™ chain control guarantees silent operation on any terrain. With its smoother-running derailleur pulleys and bearings as well as faster motors and direct signal transmission, the rear derailleur does not just make gear changes faster.

Technology:

AXS:
AXS is the new electronic integration platform by SRAM, which combines electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows you to view battery status, change component behaviour, adjust controls, receive maintenance reminders and update firmware.

Deep Range:
Not only does it offer more gear range, but the range is also better. It has " depth" : a smoother, more useful gear gradation. Intelligent shifting settings, made possible by AXS, bring the simplicity of a 1x drivetrain to a 2x drivetrain. This way you always have the right gear and the range does not get in your way. Ride faster, more efficiently and more pleasantly with Deep Range™ technology.

eTap™:
SRAM's eTap is a simple, unambiguous and intuitive shifting logic. With the shift lever on the left-hand side you move the rear derailleur inwards to a larger sprocket, with the shift lever on the right-hand side you move the derailleur outwards to a smaller sprocket. With the shift lever pressed down, you can directly shift several gears. Pressing both shift levers at the same time causes a front derailleur movement in 2x shifting systems.

X-Sync™:
The X-Sync tooth design is characterised by long, rounded and slanted tooth edges with a narrow profile. Derailleur pulleys with X-Sync technology support the chain guide and remain unaffected by dust and mud.

Orbit™:
Orbit technology is an innovative form of rear derailleur movement control. It uses silicone fluid as part of an elegant and ultralight damper system. Compared to a conventional friction clutch system, the Orbit technology generates no additional resistance at the rear derailleur spring during slow or light movement. This results in easier shifting and easier removal of the rear wheel. During the ride, the liquid damper holds the chain back in a sophisticated and elegant way.
