Technology:
X-Glide™SRAM's crank engineers have thrown out the old standards and developed a new chainring geometry from scratch. They have precisely matched the varying-sized chainrings to each other and reworked the points where chain and chainring meet. By adjusting the teeth of the chainring to the chain link pins (instead of to the middle of the chainring) you get twice as many shifting possibilities.
