The electronically controlled T-Type 12-speed AXS rear derailleur from SRAM forms the core of the XX Eagle Transmission series, which is optimised for enduro and all-mountain use. This is also made clear by the use of carbon as the cage material. The rear derailleur stands out especially thanks to Full Mount: it is mounted directly on the rear wheel axle instead of the UDH universal derailleur hanger. Use is therefore only possible on frames with this derailleur hanger. This assembly results in an exact, tolerance-free alignment of the rear derailleur and an unprecedented harmony in combination with a matching cassette. This makes adjustment and limit bolts superfluous. In addition, the rear derailleur has an extremely robust design and is equipped with Overload Clutch technology, so that it easily absorbs impacts from all sides and you can continue riding after a fall without any problems. Via the Magic Wheel, the lower derailleur pulley, the chain simply continues to run if a branch or something similar gets in the way. Replaceable skid plates increase reliability in racing. With AXS you can control the rear derailleur without cables and make fine adjustments in the app. It is best to order the battery for the rear derailleur directly.

Technology:

Magic Wheel
The Magic Wheel is a cleverly designed derailleur pulley. If a branch or similar gets wedged in and blocks it, the teeth continue to turn and the chain continues its run unhindered.

Overload Clutch
In case of an impact against the rear derailleur, the motor decouples to give the rear derailleur a maximum of movement and returns to its original position after the impact.
