Schwalbe has given the Hurricane 29" wired tyre a dynamic tread pattern. The almost slick-like centre bar rolls easily and quietly, the micro-serrations in the transition area give you security in corners and the shoulder lugs provide the necessary grip in light terrain.
In this version the Hurricane comes with the Double Defense puncture protection, which meets the highest demands.

ADDIX Performance
ADDIX is also available as a Performance compound. The mixture is very durable and meets a wide range of requirements.

Double Defense
Combined puncture protection under the tread and on the sidewalls.
This is available in three versions. In the Race version SnakeSkin (all around) and RaceGuard (under the tread) protect additionally. On Tour tyres, SnakeSkin works on the sidewalls and high-density V-Guard is under the tread. " Plus" tyres combine a layer of GreenGuard under the tread and SnakeSkin on the sidewalls.

GreenGuard®
Same operating principle as used by the SmartGuard but only approx. 3 mm thick. One third of the highly elastic natural rubber is obtained from recycled latex products. Schwalbe has developed its own processing technology for this specific purpose: In the Schwalbe factories, old products made of natural rubber (such as gloves, tubes, etc.) are shredded and returned to the production as the raw material via several production steps.

For normal pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, the law does not prescribe any special tyres. With these bikes, however, loads and average speeds are usually higher than with normal bikes, so Schwalbe recommends only certain tyres as " E-Bike Ready 25" and provides them with a special label.
