Marathon Plus Tour Performance 28" wired tyres from Schwalbe are equipped with resilient ADDIX-E rubber compound and are therefore particularly well suited for e-bikes. Due to the motor and battery, e-bikes are usually heavier than bikes powered purely by muscle. This results in higher forces acted upon all bicycle components, including the tyres. The ADDIX-E compound counteracts these, resulting in little abrasion while the grip is excellent. As with all Marathon tyres, you benefit from the " flat-less" technology with 5 mm extra puncture protection. The Smart DualGuard protective layer is also designed for e-bikes. The Anti-Aging Sidewall prevents dangerous cracking. The tyre has a reflective stripe all around. For the sake of the environment, Marathon tyres are largely made of fair trade natural rubber.
