The Shimano 105 ST-R7020 STI shifter/brake lever can shift 2-speed or 11-speed (with Dual Control technology) and control a hydraulic disc brake - perfect for cyclocross or gravel use, but also for the road when maximum braking performance is required in difficult conditions. Both the revised shifting unit with shorter lever travel and the reduced hydraulics are impressive, with faster shifting processes and a pleasing appearance as a result. The refined ergonomics and generous grip width adjustment also speak for themselves. A shift cable with friction reducing coating (Optislick) is included.

Shimano Total Integration (STI) means the combination of braking and shifting functions in one lever, which increases safety when riding. By refining the technology, it became possible to make shifting so smooth at the front and rear that they can be triggered with just one finger. Shimano calls such levers Dual Control Levers (DCL).
