This prevents the chain from just touching the tips of the teeth before it actually touches down. This optimises the chain guide and enables fast, highly efficient shifting.

Dyna-Sys is the name of the 10-speed shifting system for MTBs from Shimano. It works with closer gear ratios that enable smooth and efficient shifting. Optimised gear combinations maximise propulsion and extend the life of the cassette, chain and chainring.
