Shimano CUES FC-U6000-1 - 2-piece crank with one chainring and chain guard for city, touring and MTB

The CUES crankset FC-U6000-1, here in the version with chain guard, was designed by Shimano for Linkglide drivetrains for sporty city, touring and mountain bike use. It is suitable for 1x9-speed, 1x10-speed and 1x11-speed gears. The special tooth profile of the chainring efficiently guides the chain even in rougher terrain and prevents it from jumping off. The 2-piece design of the crank provides an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio and improves power transfer. The size of the chainring is chosen so that it can be pedalled harmoniously and comfortably on different types of terrain. This results in a chainline of 50 mm, which is why frame over locknut dimensions of up to 142 mm are compatible. The Q-factor is 180 mm. The crank is mainly made of aluminium; the chainring is made of steel. Thanks to the chain guard, your pants won't get caught between the chainring and the chain while riding.

2-Piece Crankset
With the 2-piece designed cranks from Shimano, the right crank arm is precisely matched to the interaction with the bottom bracket. This increases the stiffness and keeps the weight low. Further spaced bearings also improve strength and contribute to more pedalling efficiency. The precision manufacturing of the bearings ensures easy installation and low maintenance. 2-Piece cranks share a 24mm axle diameter with Hollowtech II cranks, so they are also compatible with Hollowtech II bottom brackets.

Dynamic Chain Engagement+
Dynamic Chain Engagement+ is Shimano's term for a special tooth profile of single chainrings intended for off-road use. This improves the chain hold and counteracts chain drop on rough ground. It also minimises wear and increases pedaling efficiency.
