Shimano CUES SL-U6000 shifter for Linkglide 10- and 11-speed - 2-Way Release and clamp attachment

The Shimano SL-U6000 from the CUES series is a 10-speed or 11-speed shifter for Linkglide drivetrains for sporty city, touring and MTB use. It is attached on the right-hand side via a clamp to handlebars with a clamp diameter of 22.2 mm. As a Rapidfire Plus model, the SL-U6000 scores with fast gear changes and can downshift up to two gears at once. In addition, it is equipped with 2-Way Release Technology, i.e. you can operate the release lever both by pressing it with your thumb and by pulling it with your index finger. The levers are easily accessible, ergonomically shaped and can be operated with little effort. This ensures comfort and more enjoyable riding. The shifter is made of aluminium, steel and various composite materials. A steel shifter cable with a friction-reducing coating is included.

Rapidfire Plus
Rapidfire Plus is a type of Shimano shift lever construction that has been common in the mountain bike sector since 1985. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. In addition, depending on the model, it is possible to downshift up to three gears with one shift stroke.

2-Way Release
With 2-Way Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release.
