Shimano D03S-RX Brake Pads for XT, SLX, Saint, ZEE and other 4-piston brakes

The Shimano D03S-RX are resin brake pads on a steel backing plate without cooling fins. They are designed for 4-piston disc brakes such as Saint BR-M820, XT BR-M8120 or SLX BR-M7120. The pads are 40% more wear-resistant than the predecessor model D01S, but still impress with low noise development, as usual for organic pads. In terms of braking power and dosage, they are in the upper range. The D03S-RX brake pads perform excellently in both dry and wet conditions.

Die Zeiten, als man vernünftige Bremsbeläge noch unter 5 € kaufen konnte, sind endgültig vorbei! Die Industrie hat Wind davon bekommen, das es sich eine goldene Nase mit eBike Teilen (die offensichtlich auch noch schneller verschleißen!) verdienen kann! Hier bei BC ist der Preis (am Kauftag, jetzt nicht mehr!!) allerdings noch ein "Schnäppchen" gegenüber den Mitbewerbern!
Auf meinen BR - 420 (4-Kolben Bremsen der DEORE - Gruppe!) verrichten die Dinger bei meinem eMTB mit etwa 23 Kg klaglos ihren Dienst!
Allerdings: durch die - im Verhältnis fast doppelt so breite Auflageflache wie bei "normalen" 2 - Kolben - Stoppern - schleifen die Beläge bei nur minimaler Unwucht auch schneller und öfter an den auch größeren Bremsscheiben, was durch das unsinnige Centerlock - System (genietete Bremssterne aus Alu + Stahlscheiben - wer macht den sowas??) noch verschlimmert wird!
Auch das klirren wie mit einer Stimmgabel, was durch die Verwendung "billiger" Bremsscheiben auftritt, konnte ich mit höherwertigen Scheiben (203 mm) etwas minimieren!
Ganz weg wird man das vermutlich nie bringen; auch nicht mit penibler Montage und Einstellung!
