The Dura-Ace FC-R9100 Crankset by Shimano - Cult look and performance

The Shimano Dura-Ace FC-R9100 11-speed crankset has the same 4-arm design with a uniform 110 mm bolt circle diameter as its predecessor, but it has lost even more weight. The hollow-forged Hollowtech crank arm now weighs seven grams less, which once again increases performance. These weight savings also benefit from the large hollow chainring. As the Dura-Ace keeps up with the times, the FC-R9100 can easily be used on road bikes with disc brakes. Of course, the unique, already cult-like Dura-Ace aesthetics and the Hollowtech II construction for the highest stability have remained. The crank arms are still made of aluminium, and carbon is also used for the chainrings. Five different 2-speed ratios and six arm lengths are available, so that in the spirit of Shimano's " Rider Tuned" philosophy, every rider will find a suitable set-up.

Hollowtech II
Shimano Hollowtech II is a crank bottom bracket system designed to achieve an ideal ratio of stiffness, weight and rotational efficiency. It is based on an integration of the bottom bracket and the right crank arm and works with a 24 mm axle or bearing diameter, which has proven to be optimal in terms of stability. In many cases, the bearing cups are on the outside so that the load is better distributed. High-quality precision seals ensure a long service life.
