Shimano FC-RS520 Crankset - For 12-speed road with 2-piece design

The FC-RS520 is a 105-level groupless crank designed for 2x12-speed road bike drivetrains. At 150 mm, it has a slightly wider Q-factor than comparable models. The asymmetrical 4-arm bolt circle diameter of 110 mm and the chainline of 44.5 mm are well-known. Apart from the precise shifting function, you also benefit from the 2-piece design, which ensures stiffness with the lowest possible weight. The crank arms and the small chainring are made entirely of lightweight aluminium, while tough synthetic resin is also used on the large chainring.

Technology:

2-Piece Crankset
With the 2-piece designed cranks from Shimano, the right crank arm is precisely matched to the interaction with the bottom bracket. This increases the stiffness and keeps the weight low. Further spaced bearings also improve strength and contribute to more pedalling efficiency. The precision manufacturing of the bearings ensures easy installation and low maintenance. 2-Piece cranks share a 24mm axle diameter with Hollowtech II cranks, so they are also compatible with Hollowtech II bottom brackets.
