G04S Shimano Brake Pads for XT, SLX, and Alfine - Durable and increased braking power

The Shimano G04S brake pads have a metallic lining on a steel backing plate and are compatible with XTR (up to M9000), XT, SLX, Deore, Alfine as well as some Road 2-piston disc brakes. They inspire with top braking performance, excellent durability and special fade resistance. The G04S pads are also above average in terms of dosage.

Ich hatte vorher die G02A. Diese habe ich nach 4000 KM gegen die G04S ausgetauscht, obwohl die G02A noch knapp 40 % der Belagstärke aufwiesen. Die G04S habe ich jetzt nach 6000 KM ausgetauscht und diese hatten nur noch eine Belagstärke von 0,3 mm Vorne & 0,5 mm Hinten, jeweils am linken Belag. Ausser das die G04S mehr zum quiteschen neigen und sie das Doppelte kosten, habe ich keinen merkenswerten Unterschied festgestellt. Fazit: Da hatte ich mehr Erwartet. Ich werde wieder auf die G02A wechseln und so unnötige Kosten vermeiden. Diese waren auch Werkseitig an meiner XT Bremse verbaut.

Fahre die Beläge das erste mal, Bremswirkung etwas schlechter wie die Resine , aber Haltbarkeit/ verschleiss ist top. Und quietscht nur bei Nässe.

Top Bremsbelag für die XT. Ja, er quietscht im Nassen Zustand, dafür sind Bremsleistung, Haltbarkeit und Fadingresistenz absolut top. Letztere ist nur beim großen Bruder mit Kühlrippen noch besser.

Sind nicht so besonders. Sie quitschen gern und die Scheibe (Magura, eigentlich bombensicher) lief bereits bei der ersten steilen Abfahrt blau an.
Ich vermute, dass die Beläge überhitzen und verglasen.
