The Shimano gear indicator cover for the XT SL-M8000 shifter covers the position where the gear indicator would normally be located. There is one version for the left and one for the right side, whereby a bolt is always supplied.

Ok, I guess, just keep in mind if you buy this together with a new SL-M8000 shifter, you probably don't need this, as the shifter usually comes together with this cover in the original package.
