Shimano Metrea Brake Caliper BR-U5000 - Shapely and functional on a city bike

The Shimano BR-U5000 Metrea flat-mount brake caliper impresses with its attractive, stylish look that perfectly integrates into the set-up of your city bike. It works with two ceramic pistons that guarantee a well-modulated, stable braking function. As usual for Shimano brake calipers, the BR-U5000 can also be bled easily via One Way Bleeding. A synthetic resin pad and an adapter for mounting a 140 or 160 mm front brake rotors (for the rear version) are included.

One Way Bleeding is a technique used on Shimano calipers that facilitates brake bleeding. The hose routing has been optimised so that no air bubbles remain in the brake calliper. In combination with the funnel, the brake can be bled cleanly and easily.
