This Shimano SM-RT70 Center-Lock brake rotor is, unlike earlier models, equiped with an externally toothed lockring. The ingenious Ice-Technology, a sandwich composite of two layers of stainless steel with an inner layer of aluminium, has been known for a long time. Even on long descents and difficult trails, this rotor ensures excellent heat dissipation. The SM-RT70 rotor is recommended for newer SLX brakes, but is also compatible with other models.

Shimano Ice Technologies provide a fast heat dissipation at your disc brake. The brake pads are equipped with aluminium cooling fins. The brake rotor is constructed using a sandwich technique in which stainless steel encloses an aluminium core. The stainless steel on both flanks ensures long durability, the aluminium allows heat dissipation.
