The now-wireless shift and brake grips are easier to grip thanks to ergonomic improvements, and offer noticeably more grip with an aerodynamic posture. Both groupsets, now equipped with 12-speed drives, are offered exclusively in the electronic Di2 version.

Everyone knows that Shimano belongs to the cycling world immediately when they hear its name! And that make sense because the long-established brand has introduced ground-breaking innovations and has brought bicycle components up to a highly technical level like no other. Starting in 1921, Shimano was founded by the 26 year old Shozaburo Shimano in Higashi Minato und the name Shimano Iron Works. The 40 m² factory cost the small metal-working company 5 Yen (today: 1 Yen = 0.0075 €) per month. In the same year, the first freehub was invented. Something that, for the time, was pioneering innovation. In 1961, they presented a 3-speed hub at the International Toy and Cycle Show held in New York City. Shimano drivetrains are today still the core competency of the brand. They developed another milestone in 1988: the first clipless pedals. Due to their innovative developments and great quality, Shimano and its products have made them the world-wide best known brand and market leader of bicycle components and accessories of every kind.

The high quality components form the Dura-Ace and XTR top tier groupsets are used by professional rider in the Road and MTB sectors. However, the components from the XT, SLX or Ultegra and 105 groupsets offer casual riders the perfect base for cycling on and off road.
