The Shimano Ultegra 12-speed chainring for the FC-R8100 crankset

This chainring is a spare part for the Shimano Ultegra FC-R8100 2x12-speed road crankset. It is also compatible with the FC-R8100-P model with power meter. The chainring has four asymmetrically arranged arms and a 110 mm bolt circle diameter. The 52 and 50 tooth versions are made of an aluminium-carbon composite, the other variations are purely aluminium. All versions have an anodised finish.

The type designation (one or two characters) helps identify the compatibility of various chainrings with other chainrings. Because the larger chainrings have specially-formed teeth and upward shifting assistance, only particular smaller chainrings will match to ensure proper shifting performance. An XY chainring should only be combined with another XY chainring. This applies to all other types as well.
