The Shimano GRX WH-RX570 27.5" wheelset loves to play in the mud


Shimano designed the GRX WH-RX570-TL 650B wheelset specifically for gravel and off-road cycling. Compared to the 28" version it is the more playful, agile version. Its wide tubeless rim limits the flex when you take a hard turn. The asymmetrical rim shape has been optimised for dirt repellence via an MTB-tested design. All in all, the WH-RX570 wheels stand for high stiffness and durability at a pleasingly low weight.

Technology:

Cup and Cone Bearings
Angular contact ball bearings of the cup & cone type are superior to sealed cartridge bearings in terms of load carrying capacity, as they distribute lateral and vertical forces better, and thus run particularly smoothly and last a long time. They are also easier to adjust, maintain and replace.

E-Thru
E-Thru is a tool-free thru-axle system from Shimano that optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio and ensures easy handling via its reliable internal cam mechanism. It is characterised by a high torsion resistance and thus also supports cornering at high speed. E-Thru thru-axle hubs and thru-axles are available in the corresponding over locknut dimensions for front and rear.

Gekauft habe ich mir diese Räder um breitere Reifen an mein Rad schnallen zu können.
Den Laufradsatz bekam ich vor ein paar Monaten und bin absolut zufrieden. Er ist tubeless montiert, was keine Schwierigkeiten gab obwohl es meine erste tubeless Montage war. Mantel/Reifen aufgezogen und mit einer normalen Standpumpe aufgepumpt bis die Flanken komplett im Felgenhorn saßen. Meines Erachtens nach sind die Lager der Naben top, was mir persönlich gut gefällt, da ich hier die Konuslager selbst warten kann. Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden und überlege mir diesen Laufradsatz noch einmal als Austausch für die Systemlaufräder zu kaufen um quasi mit einem Fahrrad sowohl den Gravel- als auch Rennradbereich abdecken zu können.
