With the Shimano XTR and XT disc brake adapter for 140 mm rotors (SM-MA90) you can ride a post mount brake caliper on a frame that has an international standard brake mount. The adapter is characterised by cut-outs, which give it a weight advantage over conventional adapters. Of course it works not only with the XTR and XT groupsets for which it was developed, but also with other Shimano disc brakes. Two bolts and a safety wire are supplied.
